ZMDI’s new ZSPM1501 is a single-phase, digital power solution for non-isolated, high-current point-of-load (POL) supplies. The PWM controller has been optimised and pre-configured for an external power stage output voltage at the industry standard voltage of 0,85 V, which can supply the core voltage typically needed for higher-performance supplies based on field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and system-on-chip products (SOCs). The chip’s flexible design allows users to easily select the over-current protection limit, output voltage rise time and control loop compensation. It is capable of supporting loads up to 40 A.
