NXP Semiconductors’ ultra-low-power wireless microcontroller (MCU) family - JN516x - has obtained Golden Unit status for the newly announced ZigBee Remote Control 2.0 standard.
The new standard enables consumers to easily control their smart home system by remote control. The new release offers the most advanced standards available, enhancing the experience of controlling smart lighting, HVAC, security, home monitoring and set-top boxes through a uniquely secure and high performing remote control.
The company backed up this support with its unveiling of the new BeyondStudio IDE for the JN516x range. This comprehensive software development environment, developed by Beyond Semiconductor, enables improved code density, reduced development time and better code quality. Used in conjunction with the Beyond Debug Key, it provides full access to the JTAG software debug feature of the chips, simplifying and accelerating the development process.
