Norwe has updated its type ‘fw’ and ‘ft’ horizontal toroid potting boxes to meet the growing demand for miniature surface mounted devices.
The fw models ensure a defined distance between potting box and printed circuit board during processing. The winding/soldering section of the terminals are accessible from the outside; they are easily positioned and solderability and electrical tests are possible.
On ft versions, the soldering section of the terminal is at the top end which leaves the surface mounted side of the terminal free
from tin. These are better suited to low-profile applications.
