TE Connectivity has introduced a slant-insertion SATA 22-position, Gen 3 connector for use in conjunction with its range of SATA plugs and assemblies. Made for applications requiring high signal speed and reduced voltage, they are offered in flexible heights to accommodate varying printed circuit board layouts and save assembly sliding space with a 15° top-to-bottom angle.
The connectors support signal speeds up to 6 Gbps and their simplified design can obviate the need in certain applications for an adaptor. They are made from halogen-free material and offer durability in excess of 500 cycles.
