Boost LED drivers

16 July 2014 Power Electronics / Power Management

The LDH-45 family of boost DC-DC LED drivers from Mean Well can supply 350, 500, 700 or 1050 mA of constant output current.

They have 9 – 18 V (LDH-45A-X) and 18 – 32 V (LDH-45B-X) input ranges and can operate across temperatures from -40°C to +70°C with up to 95% efficiency.

The units feature built-in PWM and analog dimming, allowing both on/off remote control and output current adjustment to be realised by applying an external PWM signal or 0,25 – 1,3 V DC voltage. Suitable applications include street lighting, landscape lighting, tunnel lighting, household lighting, and all kinds of off-grid LED garden lights or LED street lights powered by solar charger.

LDH-45 series LED drivers are potted for better heat dissipation as well as dust and moisture resistance. They are offered in two different input/output packages – pin style or wire style – and include short circuit, over-voltage and input under-voltage protection. Built-in EMI filtering meets the requirements of the EN55015 lighting regulation without the need of any external components.
