Mean Well has introduced new LED drivers with 1000 mA/1200 mA/1500 mA output current for applications requiring constant current drive.
The LDD-1000 – 1500L/LW/LS series feature 6 – 36 V d.c. input and 2 – 30 V d.c. output and offer pin style (L-type), wire style (LW-type) and SMD (LS-type) packages.
With a non-isolated buck topology design and high-quality components, the devices possess up to 95% efficiency and can operate between -40°C and +71°C ambient temperature using only free air convection. With built-in EMI filtering, these LED drivers comply with EMI requirements per the EN55015 lighting regulation without connecting any external EMI mitigating components.
Other standard functions include remote on/off control, PWM and analog dimming, and short circuit protection. To protect against dust and moisture, the pin style and wire style are potted with glue, while the SMD models (without glue) offer optional conformal coating.
Suitable applications include street lighting, landscape lighting, tunnel lighting, household lighting and all kinds of indoor/outdoor LED lighting systems. They are suitable to be used along with Mean Well AC/DC LED power supplies to provide the stable and balanced current for LED lighting fixtures with multiple LED channels connected in parallel.
