Two companies in the Exxelia group have released new capacitors for use in equipment which is subjected to high temperatures.
Firadec CT79 tantalum capacitors.
For down-hole requirements, Firadec has launched the CT 79 HT 200 series of tantalum capacitors. With a non-solid electrolyte, these are designed to offer high capacitance (up to 1200 μF) and high energy performance (up to 150 V) at temperature up to 200°C.
Eurofarad stacked capacitor.
For applications such as petroleum research, Eurofarad has introduced stacked capacitors with a capacity up to 3,9 μF at 500 V, capable of operating for more than 2000 hours at 220°C.
