International Rectifier has expanded its PowIRaudio family with the single-channel IR4321M and dual-channel IR4322M integrated power modules. The 60 V devices expand the power capability of low load-impedance Class D audio systems in applications including car audio systems, tabletop audio systems, active speakers and musical instruments (with integrated amplifiers). The combination of an advanced audio controller IC with MOSFETs fully optimised for audio performance results in improved efficiency, THD and EMI, allowing the ICs to operate without a mechanical heatsink over a wide power supply range on either a single or split power supply.
