The new DURABOOK T7Q is a 7”, fully rugged tablet computer compliant with IP65 for dust and water protection, and meeting MIL-STD810G for drop, temperature shock, vibration, salt and fog. It is an upgrade to the existing T7M featuring ultra-long battery life, a 5 megapixel camera as well as diversified connectivity for field-based workers. Typical application sectors include transportation, logistics, public safety and field service.
Housed in a magnesium-alloy case, the T7Q weighs 1,3 kg and is tested to survive 1,5 m drops and working temperatures between -20°C and +55°C. It features a WSVGA (1200 x 600 pixel) TFT LCD with a tempered glass resistive touch panel, supporting up to 500 nits; it is sunlight readable and has an ambient light sensor, making it well suited to outdoor use.
The tablet is powered by either a 1,6 GHz Intel Atom N2600 or 1,86 GHz N2800 processor with embedded graphics capable of playing full HD video. It is supported by 2 GB of DDR3 memory and mSATA SSD storage up to 128 GB.
High-capacity 5200 mAH batteries allow operation for 10-12 hours with a single charge, sufficient for a whole day of field work. The two hot-swappable battery bays ensure continuous usage with no downtime. Additionally, the ambient light sensor will auto-adjust LCD brightness to increase battery efficiency.
In addition to Integrated WLAN (802.11 a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 4.0 as standard, the T7Q offers an optional 4G connection with LTE module and dedicated GPS with 2–5 metre accuracy, supporting G-Sensor. Direct data collection is offered via a 5 MP camera, RFID, barcode scanner and magnetic stripe reader. Users can use the camera to add geographical metadata to photographs, video or other media through a geotagging feature.
