International Rectifier has expanded its PowIRaudio family of integrated power modules with the introduction of the IR4311M and IR4312M. The 40 V devices offer a compact, heatsink-free solution for low-power Class D audio applications. The combination of an advanced audio controller IC with MOSFETs fully optimised for audio performance results in improved efficiency, THD and EMI. High voltage ratings and noise immunity ensure reliable operation over various environmental conditions. Additional features common to the family include over-current protection, thermal shutdown, internal/external shutdown and floating differential input. The IR4312M also offers clip detection.
