Multifunction PIM analyser

6 February 2013 Test & Measurement

Rosenberger has released a new multifunction system for analysing passive intermodulation problems on site. It has the quality characteristics of a lab instrument yet is portable and rugged.

The analyser’s on-site testing capabilities can reveal hidden design, workmanship and installation flaws as well as validate linearity to preclude unnecessary service limitations, with the aim of ensuring robust quality components and installation. On-site usage is enhanced by a protected display which is visible under direct sunlight.

The instrument offers swept as well as two-tone testing with power levels from 5 to 40 Watts per test tone. It meets IEC test standards and features dynamic verification with two-tone time plot.

For ease of use, the system can be operated remotely by PC and can directly generate graphic reports. It offers a pass/fail limit alarm and efficient data storage.

Accessories included with the analyser include low PIM load and PIM standard, three low-PIM test cables plus connector adaptors, replaceable test port connector, torque and adjustable backup wrenches and a cleaning kit, among others.
