Nuvoton is launching several new 32-bit MCU products for various application markets, including the NUC123 series with USB 2.0 full-speed device, the NUC200 series with the enhanced NUC100/120, and the Nano100 series with ultra-low power at 200 μA/MHz and USB and touch-key features.
The NuMicro NUC123 USB series features 72 MHz operation, built-in 32-bit multiplier, nested vector interrupt control (NVIC), dual-channel APB, peripheral direct memory access PDMA with CRC function, 36 KB to 68 KB Flash memory, 12 KB to 20 KB SRAM, UART, SPI, I²C, I²S, USB 2.0 full-speed device, 8-channel 10-bit SAR ADC, power-on reset (POR) and brown-out detect (BOD).
In addition, the MCUs include 4 PWM outputs with dead-zone control and centre alignment, four sets of 32-bit timers, watchdog timer driven by internal 10 K RC clock and built-in oscillator, and timers with capture and compare functions. The NUC123 series offers the QFN33 and LQFP48/64 package types for various USB2.0 full-speed applications. Applications include PC peripherals, consumer electronics, intelligent control systems, card readers, USB devices, etc.
As the new generation of NUC100 series, the NUC200 series 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 MCU features low power consumption and peripheral functions such as independent RTC power pin, independent ADC reference voltage pin, and embedded dual CAN 2.0B devices, as well as a set of USB full-speed device interfaces.
The NUC200 series runs up to 50 MHz with 32/64/128 KB Flash program memory, 8 KB /16 KB SRAM and 4 KB Flash loader memory for in-system programming (ISP) and in-application programming (IAP), and is equipped with a variety of peripherals such as GPIOs, timers, watchdog timer, RTC, PDMA, UART, SPI, I²C, I²S, 16-bit PWM, Smart Card Host (including ISO-7816), PS/2, USB 2.0 full-speed device, 12-bit ADC, analog comparator, low voltage reset and brown-out detector.
Applications include automotive electronic systems (OBD), embedded network control, industrial control, elevator systems, energy and power controllers, etc.
Finally, with its low power consumption of 200 μA/MHz (Normal), fast wake-up and high-efficiency operation, the NuMicro Nano100 series is targeted at a wide range of battery powered applications.
The Nano100 Series includes Nano100 base-line, Nano110 LCD line, Nano120 USB connectivity line, and Nano130 Advanced line. Embedded with the ARM Cortex-M0 core, the MCUs run up to 42 MHz at 1,8 V to 3,6 V with 32/64/128 KB embedded Flash and 8/16 KB embedded SRAM and 4 KB loader ROM for ISP.
The Nano100 devices integrate a 4x40 or 6x38 dots LCD controller, real-time clock (RTC), 12-bit SAR ADC, 12-bit DAC, Capacitive Touch keys, UART, SPI, I²C, I²S, PWM/capture, EBI, USB 2.0 full-speed device, ISO-7816-3 Smart Card interface, fast wake-up via all peripheral interfaces, watchdog timer, brown-out detector, and supports 96-bit unique ID and 128-bit unique customer ID.
The Nano100 series is offered in LQFP48/64/128 package types and is aimed at various measurement equipment, industrial control, medical and health equipment, card readers, etc.
