M/A COM Technology Solutions’ MASWSS0129 is a broadband GaAs pHEMT MMIC diversity switch available in a 3 mm 12-lead PQFN package, making it well suited for applications where very small size and low cost are required. Typical applications are for WLAN IEEE 802.11a and 802.11b/g systems that employ two antennas for transmit and receive diversity.

The device operates in the 802.11a + b/g dual band (DC–6 GHz) and features insertion loss of 0,7 dB @ 2,4 GHz (1,0 dB @ 4,9-6,0 GHz) and 43 dB isolation @ 2,4 GHz (30 dB @ 4,9–6,0 GHz).

Also available is the MASW-010612, a GaAs pHEMT MMIC SP3T switch in a lead-free 1,5 mm 8-lead PDFN package. This device is ideal for low control voltage, low insertion loss, high isolation and small size applications such as antenna, WLAN and Bluetooth systems that connect separate receive functions to a common antenna.

The device is optimised at 2,4 GHz and boasts insertion loss of 0,6 dB, P1dB of 36 dBm and 1,8 V operation with 1,8 V on pull-up. It is RoHS compliant and 260°C reflow compatible.
