Mean Well has introduced new 90 W, high output voltage and low current rating LED drivers in the form of the HLG-80H-C series. Possessing 350 mA (257 V d.c. maximum output) or 700 mA (129 V d.c. maximum output) constant current, the units are suitable for LED lighting fixtures that need to connect numerous LEDs in one single strip to a high voltage.
The power supplies have a wide input range of 90 to 305 V a.c. and are fully potted by glue (IP65/67 structure) and enclosed by aluminium case. With constant voltage (CV) plus constant current (CC) design, they feature built-in two-stage active power factor correction and comply with harmonic current limitation per EN61000-3-2 Class C (>50% load).
The HLG-80H-C series offers power factor >0,9 if loading over 50%, and possesses 4 kV surge immunity (EN61000-4-5) which complies with the requirements of street lighting. They boast up to 92% efficiency, allowing them to be cooled by free air convection from -40°C to +70°C ambient temperature encountered in closed lighting systems.
Besides standard protection functions for short circuit, over-voltage and over-temperature, these power units provide dimming options of three-in-one (B type) or timer dimming (D type). They comply with global certificates per UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE, including UL8750, EN61347-1, EN61347-2-13 for lighting regulations.
Suitable applications include LED street lighting, LED tunnel lighting, LED spot lighting, LED decorative lighting and other indoor/outdoor LED lighting.
