Intelligent universal programmer

18 July 2001 DSP, Micros & Memory

The ChipMaster 6000 from Logical Devices is a PC-based universal programmer that connects through any standard parallel port. The 6000 features a 48-pin universal pin driver and expandable TTL pin driver. With its on-board processor and FPGA the 6000 has the power and flexibility to handle complicated DIP package silicon PLDs, microprocessors and high-density flash without the need for programming adapters.

Key features:

* 48-pin ZIF socket with insertion/contact checking.

* Self-programming for mass production mode.

* Supports 2,8 and 3,3 V devices.

* Programs an 8 Mb device in less than 1 min.

* Win 9x, ME, NT and 2000 software-driven.

* Universal adapters available for 40TSOP, 44PLCC, 44PSOP, 48TSOP and others.

* Pass/fail statistics reports and auto incrementing.

* User configurable device options and voltages.

The programmer supports JEDEC, POF, Motorola S, Intel Hex, Binary, HP 64000ABS, Intel Extended Hex, Tektronics, MOS Technology.
