M/A-COM Technology Solutions’ diode product group has released two new high-power transmit/receive (T/R) switches.
The MASW-000932-13560T is a broadband, high-linearity, common anode, PIN diode T/R switch for applications from 10 MHz–4,0 GHz. This broadband switch is ideal for use in WiMAX and Wi-Fi customer premises equipment. It is also well suited for use in software defined radio, picocell and femtocell T/R switching applications.
This device incorporates a PIN diode die fabricated with M/A-COM’s patented silicon-glass HMIC process. The process also provides full top side polymer passivation to ensure robust performance. The SPDT switch offers wideband performance with excellent isolation to loss ratio on both the transmit and receive states. It provides 80 W of CW power handling with 72 dBm IIP3 at 2010 MHz.
Also new is the MASW-000936-14000T, a 120 W T/R switch that can handle up to 120 W CW at 2,7 GHz at 85°C. It operates from 50 MHz–6,0 GHz and is made using a die fabricated with M/A-COM Tech’s low-loss, high-isolation PIN diode process. It is ideally suited for use in base station, high-power LTE, WiMAX and military radio applications.
Both switches are offered in industry standard 4 mm PQFN RoHS compliant packages.
