EBG produces the SGT series of resistors in order to meet the most stringent requirements regarding temperature coefficient for high-stability performance at high operating voltages.
The low temperature coefficient minimises the self-drift generated by warm-up due to power dissipation. The SGT series is produced with EBG‘s patented non-inductive design. Typical applications include medical systems like X-ray, nucleus spin tomographs as well as power supplies or instruments.
The components are available in resistances ranging from 100 kΩ to 1 GΩ, with tolerance from ±0,1% to ±1,0%. They have a temperature coefficient of 25ppm/ °C from -15°C to +85°C and exhibit load life stability of 0,25% per 1000 hours at +125°C. The resistors are available in power ratings from 1 W to 6 W and for operating voltages up to 30 kV (48 kV in special ‘S’ versions).
The SGP series is designed to meet the requirements of high resistance values combined with very high voltage requirements, while utilising EBG‘s patented non-inductive design complete with in-process digital trimming to exact values.
This series employs special METOXFILM which demonstrates excellent stability while covering resistance ranges from 100 Ω to 10 GΩ, at high operating temperatures to 225°C. The power ratings (up to 30 W at 75°C) and voltage ratings (up to 48 kV) are for continuous operation, and have all been pre-tested to these requirements for steady state performance, as well as momentary overload conditions.
The SGP series features resistance tolerance from ±0,1% to ±10% and temperature coefficient of 80ppm/°C. Life stability is typically ±0,02% per 1000 hours.
