AVX provides designers the ability to clamp transients and filter EMI at a high voltage with the expansion of its Transguard multilayer varistor series. Designed for compact devices, the miniature 0201 bidirectional transient voltage suppressor provides minimal signal distortion and low insertion loss.
The Transguard 0201 multilayer varistors present a 16 V d.c. device with a 20 pF maximum capacitance in an 0201 case size. The Transguard series features multiple strike capability and is able to withstand 1000 strikes at 8 kV of contact. These devices feature a sub 1 ns response time to ESD strike and have a maximum leakage current of 50 μA at rated voltage.
