Nordic Semiconductor has produced an online ‘how-to’ video of its recently launched iOS demo app.
The app is based on a proven API (application programming interface) from expert smartphone fitness technology company – Wahoo Fitness – that is designed to provide developers with a starting point and ready-built design framework to accelerate development of ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart (as Bluetooth low energy will now be marketed to consumers) wireless connectivity apps and accessories for the iPhone 4S.
The nRFready iOS Demo App sample application – which will soon be available for download from the Apple APP store – can be used to fast-track the development of ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart enabled apps and accessories for the iPhone 4S – and is designed to complement Nordic’s nRF8000 series Bluetooth low energy and nRF24AP2 Series ANT solutions – to provide a complete end-to-end product development solution.
The demo app is a fully functional application that will work with a wide range of the most popular ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart accessories such as wireless heart rate straps, foot pods, bike speed-distance, cadence and power sensors, temperature sensors, proximity tags, weight scales and blood pressure monitors.
