Cirtech Electronics is a client driven company supplying high-quality PCBs and a comprehensive range of electronic components to clients in the automotive, avionics, military, metering and security industries.
PCBs
Prototypes, R&D and small- to medium-volume orders requiring rapid turnaround are manufactured by Cirtech Manufacturing in Cape Town. This facility handles single-sided and multilayer PCBs up to four layers. Larger orders and orders for more complex PCBs are placed with off-shore associates with which the company has been dealing for the past seventeen years.
All orders are assessed and checked by Cirtech’s quotes department staff who are experts in analysing Gerber files. The most popular finish is ENIG, but the company will advise clients on appropriate alternatives where necessary.
Quality control is strictly adhered to at Cirtech. All PCB orders are comprehensively electrically tested and micro-sectioned.
LCDs
Cirtech represents the Xiamen Zettler company, Displaytronics, in southern Africa. Displaytronics produces a comprehensive range of high-quality LCD screens. The selection includes backlit LEDs, chip-on-board, chip-on-glass, graphic modules, character modules and touch panel displays. The company also manufactures touch screens and TFT screens.
The LCDs can be set up with a number of different colour combinations, allowing the user to optimise the unit for the operating environment. The newest LCD range features completely black backgrounds with the total blanking of unlit segments. This eliminates the possibility of confusing numbers, for instance a 6 for an 8, as there is no reflection or transmission of light through unlit segments.
