Texas Instruments announced the new floating-point Stellaris Cortex-M4F microcontroller generation. Developers can select from a variety of analog, memory and connectivity options to satisfy design parameters across a broad range of applications, such as industrial automation, motion control, health and fitness and more. The devices’ core operates at up to 80 MHz and standby currents are as low as 1,6 μA. Connectivity options include USB (host, device and On-the-Go), UARTs, I²C, SSI/SPI and CAN. Integrated EEPROM supports high-endurance, non-volatile storage of user interface or configuration parameters. Up to 256 KB Flash and 32 KB SRAM are available.
