Radiall and Molex have jointly expanded their cost-effective SMP-MAX series with new symmetrical adapters and RF coaxial interconnect solutions for board-to-board, module-
to-module and panel-to-panel telecom applications.
The new parts eliminate the risk of assembly errors during manufacturing. They can handle a maximum board-to-board distance tolerance of up to 2 mm gap without a spring, which is 300% more than the standard SMP. They also feature a 3° tilt (radial travel), an operating frequency range of DC-6 GHz, a 1,2 max VSWR guaranteed up to 3 GHz, and can handle up to 300 W at 2,7 GHz.
