TDK-EPC is offering three new sample kits of ceramic PTC thermistors from EPCOS.
The components of the sample kit ‘SMD PTC Thermistors for Limit Temperature Sensing/Superior Series’ are designed for use as temperature sensors, for instance in LED lamps, power supplies and notebooks. The kit contains samples for sizes 0402, 0603 and 0805 across the temperature range between 75°C and 145°C in steps of 10°C. All thermistors are certified to AEC-Q200 and are suitable for reflow and wave soldering.
The sample kit ‘SMD PTC Thermistors for Over-current Protection’ contains components for surge current protection applications. They are used as self-resetting fuses and as such limit currents to uncritical values in the event of overload or short circuit. These thermistors are available in sizes 0603, 1210, 3225 and 4032.
The components in the sample kit ‘PTC Thermistors for Inrush Current Limiters’ are suitable as inrush current limiters in AC-DC inverters, frequency converters, air-conditioning systems, pumps and all other equipment that exposes the power line to high inrush currents.
