Electrocomp has announced the signing of a distribution agreement with TDK Components. This will enhance the extensive footprint Electrocomp already has in the supply of passive components in the South African electronic industry.
TDK was established in 1935 as the world’s first company to commercialise a magnetic material called ferrite. In the ensuing years, TDK has conducted research and development programmes in ferrite and a variety of other electronic materials and components. This drive was based on the company’s founding spirit of “contributing to culture and industry through creativity”.
Today, TDK continues to deliver innovative products by leveraging a combination of know-how and process technology refined over years of specialisation in electronic materials. The application of TDK’s advanced expertise in ferrite has yielded advanced electronic components such as multilayer ceramic capacitors, inductors and EMC components. Focusing on miniaturisation and surface mount requirements, TDK’s vast array of electronic components includes LAN components, ferrite cores, amorphous cores, transformers, magnets, magnet applied products, piezoeletronic products, delay lines, sensors, power supply, RF components and RF modules.
