Agilent reaps awards

2 March 2011 News

Agilent Technologies has been receiving major plaudits for its products of late, having garnered several awards including one from Frost & Sullivan and another from Elektra.

Frost & Sullivan recognised Agilent with an award for customer value enhancement in the test and measurement category, for its portfolio of PXI and AXIe chassis and modules. According to Frost & Sullivan research analyst Vijay Mathew: “Our award is given to the company that has demonstrated excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for their customers, focusing on improving the customers’ return on investment. It recognises the company that goes beyond simply good customer service and is focused on improved customer retention and ultimately customer-base expansion.”

This award followed the announcement of 46 new PXI and AXIe modular products in September 2010 during Autotestcon in Florida, and the acceptance of Agilent onto the board of directors of the PXI Systems Alliance.

Separately, Infiniium 90000 X-Series oscilloscopes were named test product of the year at Elektra 2010, the European electronics industry awards. The Elektra awards are decided by an independent panel of judges focused on 16 award categories. The event, considered an annual highpoint within the electronics industry, recognises the achievements of individuals and companies across Europe. The awards are designed to promote best practices in key areas such as innovation, sales growth and employee motivation. The test product category is dedicated to the most innovative test equipment during the year. The category is open to hardware and software applications and judged on usability as well as performance. Winners were announced in December in London.
