The SSP-7080 from Manson is a standalone, wide-range benchtop laboratory power supply with dynamic power factor correction. It has three selectable voltage/current ranges with fine adjustment: 0–16 V d.c. @ 0–5 A, 0–27 V d.c. @ 0–3 A and 0–36 V d.c. @ 0–2,2 A.
The 80 W power supply is specifically designed to be modular and scalable, allowing it to be upgraded without being replaced. The front output terminals allow for easy linking of up to five units in parallel, meaning that up to 25 A is attainable with the appropriate combination. The power supply has 2 x 4-digit LED displays, with remote sensing for accurate applied voltages at the load point. To ensure safe operation, the output may be switched on and off in order to preset the voltage and current values.
