USB 3.0 connectors

Samtec has announced the addition of SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to its line of high-speed I/O solutions.

In addition to optimised power efficiencies, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 offers significant performance advancements over USB, with up to 10 times the data transfer rate. And because the system remains cost-efficient and compatible with existing USB-enabled devices, it answers the increasing demands for greater bus bandwidth and higher performance connections in today’s consumer market.

Samtec offers SuperSpeed USB 3.0 certified A-type and B-type receptacles (USB3-A and USB3-B series) with through-hole terminations. The mating SuperSpeed 3.0 certified cable plug (USBC3 series) is available with an A-type plug on the first end and a B-type plug on the second end, in a choice of wire lengths. A micro SuperSpeed USB 3.0 version (UUSB3 Series) is also available.
