New from Z-Communications is the RoHS compliant PLL (phase-locked loop) model PCA1550B-LF in L-band. The device operates from 1502 to 1510 MHz and features a typical phase noise of -101 dBc/Hz @10 kHz offset and typical sideband spurs of -70 dBc. The PCA1550B-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0 dBm at 3,3 V d.c. supply while drawing 30 mA over the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It features typical second harmonic suppression of
-15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s cPLL standard package measuring only 12,7 x 12,7 x 3,3 mm. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements and is well suited to automated surface mount assembly and reflow. Target applications include satellite communication systems and point-point microwave radio applications that require low phase-noise performance.
