Custom-assembly M12 Quickon plug connectors with stainless steel glands are now available from Phoenix Contact for applications in the foodstuff and medical sectors, where a high degree of hygiene is an absolute must.
The connector and socket housings are made from polyamide and the glands from a high alloy tool steel. Owing to this material combination, the connectors are especially suitable for use in rugged industrial environments.
The Quickon connection principle integrates gland, strain relief, seal and wire guidance in a single component – the union nut. When tightening, a cutting contact cuts through the wire insulation so that a flexible, vibration-proof and gas-tight contact is established. This facilitates rapid connection without the need for any special tools.
The plug connectors are available in a straight, four-pin version. Two plug connector versions are available for the connection range from 0,14 to 0,75 mm².
