Vandal resistant LEDs

23 May 2001 Opto-Electronics

Bulgin has released the latest in its development program for vandal resistant products. Bulgin's Vandal Resistant LED Indicators are designed to complement the style of its extensive range of vandal resistant switches.

These indicators will suit applications where a separate circuit condition indication is needed. Front panel sealed to IP67 the indicators are available with red, blue, green or yellow high brightness LEDs for daylight visibility and are designed and constructed to meet the shock, vibration and impact requirements demanded by hostile applications. The rear mouldings are colour-coded so that each type can be easily identified. Individual indicators are housed in a strong, corrosion- resistant marine grade stainless steel body for the necessary strength and long life whilst maintaining aesthetic appeal. Lens is a tough V-0 rated polycarbonate.

In two body styles: proud of the panel with a bevelled edge; and flush to panel. They are styled to match the vandal resistant switches and also have an aesthetic style. Voltage options available are for 12 and 24 V supplies or alternatively with no ballast resistor to give complete user choice. Operating temperature is from -40 to +85°C and termination 2,8 mm tags/solder tabs or flying lead connection.
