Industrial computer chassis

17 March 2010 Computer/Embedded Technology

Avalue has brought out a range of rigid chassis for housing the components of industrial computers. They allow the system to be mounted securely with protection from vibration, static and other harmful elements. Avalue offers a range of industrial chassis types from VESA compliant rack-mount chassis, wall-mount chassis to desktop chassis.

The BMX-R10 Mini-ITX system supports the Avalue EMX-M6901G Mini-ITX motherboard. The system features an onboard AMD 200U 1 GHz processor, a 2,5” HDD drive bay, and supports up to 4 GB of DDR2 SODIMM memories. The rear panel I/O ports include USB, VGA, DVI, COM, keyboard/mouse, LAN, audio and a DC-in jack. The front panel has a power status LED indicator. The BMX-R10 system has a metal, seamless, black chassis that can be wall mounted or stood on a desktop. It measures 260 mm in width, 186 mm in depth and 58,5 mm in height and uses a 60 Watt power adapter.

The BMX-R11 barebone system is a solid type fanless system for various Avalue Mini-ITX motherboards. It features a 2,5” HDD drive bay and the rear I/O shield gives a standard ATX IO opening. The compact black case can be wall mounted or VESA mounted with a key lock which enables it to be quickly removed from the wall. The chassis measures 251 x 200 x 66 mm (W x D x H) and a 60 Watt power adapter is included.

Also a barebone system, the BMX-R12 boasts a stylish design for thin-client applications. It features a 2,5” HDD drive bay and a front panel with two USB ports, one speaker-out and one microphone-in jack, as well as HDD and power status LED indicators. Its compact and coloured plastic chassis is provided with a desktop stand, and it may also be VESA bracket mounted. It measures 90 mm in width, 205 mm in depth, and 230 mm in height.

All systems tolerate 0–40°C operating temperature and 5–90% relative humidity (at 40°C), and are RoHS compliant.
