Quick-release junction shells
3 March 2010
Interconnection
Fischer Elektronik has extended its product portfolio with the addition of DH SV series quick-release junction shells. The shells are fitted with a quick-release system which allows rapid connection of D-Sub plug connectors to D-Sub interfaces. Due to the audible and clearly discernable ‘click’, these shells provide secure locking even where device interfaces are hard to get to and barely visible. The shells are made from plastics, while the surfaces of the casing are black and metallised.
The quick-release junction shells are available for 9, 15 and 25 contacts. Depending on the number of contacts, they are provided with two or three cable outlets. Using the proposed accessories (eg, RS SH D plunger pins for existing connectors with a through hole) easy and rapid conversion to the quick-release system is possible. The materials used for the shells, as well as accessories, comply with EU directive 2002/95/EG (RoHS) and EC regulation no. 1907/2006 (REACH).
