The TLE 6251-2G high-speed control area network (CAN) transceiver from Infineon is designed for automotive applications that require wake-up functionality. It controls the power-up and/or power-down modes of complete electronic control units by monitoring CAN bus traffic and checking the mode signals set by the microprocessor.
As a successor to the TLE 6251G, the TLE 6251-2G not only provides different operation modes with a very low quiescent current in sleep mode, it also delivers improved electromagnetic compatibility and electrostatic discharge characteristics. The new transceiver is integrated in a RoHS-compliant PG-DSO-14 package and fulfils or exceeds the requirements of ISO11898-5.
