The new HRP-100 series of 100 W AC-DC enclosed type power units expands Mean Well’s HRP offering to cover the range from 75 to 600 W. The modules feature an active PFC function and are targeted at system designers who have low no-load power consumption requirement under standby mode.
The new units possess up to 90% efficiency and can be operated in ambient temperatures between -30°C and +60°C with free air convection alone. They allow AC input from 85 to 264 V a.c. and fulfil the requirement of harmonic current per EN61000-3-2. In addition, they can withstand 300 V a.c. input surge for 5 seconds, which can prevent damage caused by unstable AC mains. Standard functions include remote ON/OFF control and protection for short circuit, overload (constant current mode), over-voltage and overtemperature (optional).
