Conec’s M12x1 product line has been expanded to include a socket version with extended pin count. This series is suitable for front and back mounting, and the connector can be mounted and soldered directly to the printed circuit board.
The M12x1 socket series originally consisted of 4- and 5-position variants, and now with the newly added 8-position version additional circuits can be connected through one connector. The connector is an axial design requiring only 10 mm in height, presenting a low profile for front- and back-mounting applications; the connector can accommodate panel thickness from 2 to 2,5 mm. A shielded version is also available – the shield is integrated with the socket on the connector and therefore can be connected directly to the PCB. This creates a totally shielded connection from the mating side on to the printed circuit board.
