The PLH 16 is a new high-performance PCB terminal from Phoenix Contact, employing a one-hand release lever principle. The patented push-lock spring permits a 16 mm² conductor – either with or without ferrule – to be connected without any tools. The solid or flexible conductor is inserted into the open terminal point and is reliably closed by actuating the release lever via the push-lock spring. Alternatively, the conductors can be directly inserted with the lever closed using the push-in system.
Three versions are available in order to support different voltages. The compact zigzag arrangement of the solder pins in a 10 mm pitch with an unrestricted 600 V UL component certification (1000 V according to VDE) is especially space saving. In order to ensure correct connections, colour coding is possible from pin to pin.
