'Industy's fastest' 14-bit ADC

Texas Instruments introduced a dual, 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) capable of capturing at 250 MSps. The ADS62P49 achieves 73 dBFS signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and 85 dBc spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) at an input frequency of 60 MHz. With what is said to be the industry’s fastest sample rate, the device provides enhanced signal bandwidth without compromising range and sensitivity in communications and defence imaging systems or accuracy in wideband test and measurement equipment. Low power consumption of 625 mW per channel reduces the device’s thermal footprint for increased system efficiency in high-density, multi-antenna base station receivers and software defined radios. Gain can be programmed in 1 dB steps up to 6 dB.
