Radiall has added the new range of SMP bullet female-to-female spring-loaded adapters to its offering of cost effective SMP solutions. The SMP-spring adapters ease management of mechanical alignment tolerances needed for module-to-module and board-to-board high-frequency interconnections. In addition, they are specifically developed for military applications using active antennas that have a large number of coaxial interconnections per module or up to 60 SMP ports on a single board.
The adapters are available in three different lengths and feature a larger axial tolerance and 1,17 mm axial travel. They can interconnect modules that have different geometries and are larger in size. Other features include radial misalignment tolerance of ±0,25 mm, 1000 mating cycles, an operating frequency range of DC–18 GHz, and 1,2 max VSWR guaranteed at 12 GHz.
