The ORX PSU-D01 from Christensen Tools is a locally developed digital power supply that supplies up to 1 A at fixed voltages of ±5 and ±12 V, as well as a variable 0–30 V output that supplies up to 5 A. These characteristics make it suitable for a broad range of applications, including laboratory, development and repair environments.
The unit has a diagnostic startup and calibration sequence to ensure that operating conditions are within specification before an output relay is energised and voltage is presented to the output terminals. It also features short-circuit, over-voltage and over-temperature protection that will switch off the outputs until the temperature falls to within operating temperature range. LEDs below the digital display provide the user with feedback in case of such faults.
