Mydata recently introduced its newest generation of pick-and-place machines. The MY100 series is a completely new placement machine platform which broadens the company’s product range to suit even higher production requirements.
The new series consists of MY100DX-10 and MY100DX-14, with 96 and 160 feeder positions respectively, and can be configured with various synergy options for in-line production. The new machines are compatible with Mydata’s existing range of machines, feeders and software, giving customers the opportunity to utilise previous investments and match their needs exactly.
With a dual X drive system that combines different mount heads, advanced vision systems and a state-of-the-art linear drive motor technology, the MY100DX offers a top speed of up to 34 000 components per hour. With 18 nozzles in total, users are capable of mounting a vast mix of component types for enhanced throughput.
To ensure optimal placement results, the system is equipped with an on-the-fly Linescan Vision System (LVS) that combines high centring speed and precision for the majority of components, whereas the Dual Vision System (DVS) takes care of flip chips and other specialised components. Additionally, there are cameras for feeder fiducial search, and smart supporting functions like the ‘look before pick’ feature.
