New from Gradconn is the CH03-AD SIM card connector, a receiver style connector which holds the SIM card in place using the force of the contacts against the cover.
With a height of just 1,9 mm, this connector is suitable for applications such as handheld equipment and other situations where space is a critical factor. It is available in 6 and 8 position formats, incorporates a card presence detection switch and comes without a PCB location peg.
The connector is shielded with a metal cover and is suitable for operating temperatures of -40°C to +85°C. It is rated for 5000 SIM card insertion cycles and is fully RoHS compliant. The insulator is made from high temperature thermoplastic capable of withstanding 260°C for 10 seconds during a reflow solder process.
