Data converters sample up to 250 MSps

New from Texas Instruments are six 12- and 14-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with sampling rates as high as 250 MSps, enabling efficient power amplifier linearisation in digital pre-distortion (DPD) solutions, good range and sensitivity in radar and defence electronics and high accuracy in high-speed test and measurement equipment. The complete ADS61xx family of devices features a 1 to 6 dB programmable gain option, allowing customers to optimise SNR, SFDR and input swing based on the needs of their application. The ADS61B49 and ADS61B29 ease analog front end design by incorporating a fully differential input buffer. This buffer provides constant input impedance over input frequency and eliminates kickback from the ADC’s track-and-hold circuit to ensure consistent linearity of the signal.
