Power Electronics / Power Management
Recently launched by Sinetech, Studer-Innotec’s series of fully automatic pure sine wave inverters, battery chargers and transfer systems offer solutions for home or small business utility backup.
Available in 12, 24 and 48 V d.c. configurations with power outputs ranging from 1400 VA to 8000 VA in single-phase and up to 24 kW in three-phase (72 kW total power), the system provides conversion of the battery voltage to AC voltage for all electrical devices and a high-power charger supplying charge current to the battery.
The system implements automatic transfer system management of the available power and features a high and steady efficiency, as well as high overload capability, thanks to the combined use of a toroidal-transformer, oversized MOS power stage.
Microprocessor control makes for ultra-fast regulation, and a four-stage battery charger with power factor correction is also implemented. The system features overload, overheat, and short circuit protection, as well as a standby level adjustable over a large range.
The system can also be extended by taking advantage of solar power.
