Hitachi has introdued two new high performance colour TFT LCD modules: The TX18D16VM1CAB in the 7" (17,8 cm) WVGA range, and the TX14D12VM1CBB, a 5,7" (14,5 cm) QVGA display.
The TX18D16VM1CAB (800 x 480 pixels, contrast ratio of 200:1) and TX14D12VM1CBB (320 x 240 pixels, contrast ratio of 350:1) deliver a notable 600 cd/m² light output, a light output achieved with no increase in power consumption over previous models, according to the manufacturer. Both models are sunlight-readable active matrix transmissive TFT panels that are said to offer robust industrial quality and performance with 262 000 colours.
Touchscreen versions are also available and both models offer a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C.
