Interpoint has developed a new Space DC-DC converter family, the SMRT. The devices all have wide input voltage ranges and are available with single, dual, triple or quad outputs. The SMRT products include a number of firsts for Interpoint: fully internal filters, low temperature operation for deep space applications and a variety of radiation level guarantees.
The SMRT converters incorporate two independent feedback loops in a two-phase flyback design. Each set of outputs is isolated from the other and the input voltage can easily be changed for nominal 28 V, 50 V, 70 V or 100 V input bus use. Screening levels of O, H or K (referenced to MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534) are offered.
