Central Semiconductor has announced the release of the CMAD4448 ultra-high-speed switching diode in the SOD-923 package. This new FEMTOmini device is a high quality 120 V, 250 mA diode with a maximum trr of 4,0 ns and an ultra-low maximum capacitance of 2,0 pF. The diode has several enhanced specifications compared to the standard 4448 device, including VRRM of 120 V compared to 100 V for the standard device, and a lower capacitance of 2 pF compared to 4,0 pF for the standard device. Designed for applications requiring a high-speed diode in an ultra small package, the CMAD4448 in the SOD-923 package utilises 50% less board space compared to the SOD-523 package, and has a 32% lower package profile (0,41 mm compared to 0,8 mm of the SOD-523 package) making it suitable for most portable handheld electronic devices.
