Poynting Antennas has released two new antenna enclosures – the WLAN-A0044 5GHz (19 dBi) and the WLAN-A0038 (15 dBi). These antennas include compact weatherproof outdoor enclosures ideal for WiFi and WiMAX systems.
The WLAN-A0044 and WLAN-A0038 are additionally equipped with Poynting’s new rugged, waterproof Ethernet cable gland, which allows a direct, watertight connection of Ethernet CAT5 cable to the exterior of the enclosure for easy installation. In addition, the antennas have built-in fixed mounting pillars, which allow mounting of the MikroTik RB133C or RB411 electronics whilst adhesive mounting pillars are provided for mounting other electronics. Knock-outs are also included for two N-type connectors.
Protection against static build-up and lightning is addressed by an integrated DC shorted antenna and an additional earthing lug is provided that allows the optional grounding of internal electronics to external structures, such as the mounting mast.
Like all Poynting enclosures, the WLAN-A0044 and the WLAN-A0038 are provided with a compact mounting bracket with continuous elevation tilt and azimuth adjustment capability, allowing for pole or wall mounting of the antenna.
