BCcomponents offers a range of leaded ceramic disc capacitors that operate at temperatures of up to 125°C and are specifically designed for high frequency snubbing and decoupling in applications where low loss, high reliability and small size are key requirements.
The 700 series range has been designed specifically for use in domestic goods including lighting ballasts and electronic equipment such as PCs, modems, computer monitors, switched mode power supplies and CCTV circuitry. The use of high specification snubbers and decouplers, such as the new leaded ceramic disc capacitors, avoids potential problems such as those caused by the high frequency currents, voltages and temperatures found in these environments.
The range was developed using BCcomponents' recent developments in its ceramic technology to extend the range of working voltages from 250 V d.c. to 3 kV and to reduce the dissipation factor from 0,5 to less than 0,2%. The capacitance range of the new low-loss disc ceramic capacitors is between 100 and 4700 pF. Working voltages range from 250 V d.c. to 3 kV. The operating temperature for all capacitors is from -30 to + 125°C. Tolerance is ±10%. Lead spacing is between 5 and 7,5 mm.
