The DS50 digital soldering station from RS Components provides a cost effective, entry level soldering station for the intermittent/low volume user.
The DS50 is intended exclusively for the purpose of soldering and desoldering electrical and electronic components on printed circuit boards and modules, for solder-coating conductive patterns and cable ends and for manufacturing cable connectors. It is important to note that the DS50 is not intended for heating liquids or plastics and is not for use in the open air.
The soldering station features an LCD, and allows three programmable setpoint temperatures (pre-programmed to 150°C, 300°C and 400°C). The timer-adjusted standby mode allows for steps of 5 minutes, as does the auto power off timer. Operating temperature range is between 150 and 450°C, with a resolution of 1°C.
