The Sonitron Multi-Application (SMA) series from Sonitron is a series of low-cost buzzers specifically designed to meet a wide range of requirements in sound pressure, dimensions and mounting methods. They feature low current consumption and wide operating voltage ranges, and are available in various sound pressures and frequencies. They produce a highly reliable audible tone signal, giving either a clear and penetrating tone or a soft sound for non-aggressive signals.

The buzzers have a built-in oscillator generating their working frequency of between 2,5 kHz and 3,8 kHz, depending on the model. They are available in five sizes: 13, 17, 21, 24 and 30 mm, and are available for both through-hole and surface mounting technologies. Depending on the model, voltage ranges are as wide as 1,5 to 24 V, with current consumption as low as 0,7 mA.

These buzzers are suitable for a number of applications, such as automatic doors, alarms, gas and metal detectors, medical instrumentation, timers and clocks, as well as many others.
